Design Inspiration in the Cotswolds

Design Inspiration in the Cotswolds

Last Christmas, I spent part of my honeymoon in the Cotswolds, and it quickly became one of my favorite sources of design inspiration. With its historic stone buildings, cozy fires, and beautifully layered interiors, the region perfectly captures the warmth and timeless character of classic English countryside style.

Evenings began with cocktails by the fire at The Pig Hotel, where relaxed textures, soft lighting, and collected details created an atmosphere that felt both refined and inviting. We stayed at The Bull Charlbury, a charming inn above a lively pub that embodied the effortless balance of comfort and character found throughout the area.

Our days were spent with morning walks through the countryside, exploring Daylesford Organic Farm, browsing antique shops, enjoying breakfast at The Bell at Charlbury, and soaking in the festive holiday atmosphere at The Royal Oak Ramsden.

The Cotswolds is a perfect example of how thoughtful details, history, and a sense of ease can create interiors that feel both cozy and timeless - an approach I always strive to bring into my own work.

The cutest litle nook inside the library at the Pig Hotel.

The Library at the Pig Hotel was where we had drinks by the fire before our dinner reservation.

The most amazing, fresh dinner at The Pig.

Would have loved to take home some of this art.

Daylesford Farm. Plenty of shopping and also has a restaurant in the back.

If I didn't have to fly 10 hours home I would have done a lot of damage here.

If I could go back to any meal it would be the one we had at the Royal Oak Ramsden. Felt like I was in The Holiday.

You must order the cookie and ice cream dessert. I still think about it a year later.

The pub at The Bull Charlbury.

This is actually right where my husband and I exchanged our personal vows since we did traditional ones at our ceremony.

Breakfast at The Bell. Such a cute spot.
