For the past six months, I've been slowly transforming my beach cottage in Laguna. Moving from a much smaller space, I was lacking furniture and all the little things that make a house feel a home. Instead of buying everything all at once, I've been letting the space evolve naturally - mixing vintage pieces, secondhand finds, and thoughtful details that make the cottage feel personal and layered.
This isn't a perfectly finished home, it's a real one - full of layers that have come together over time. Some corners are still empty, and most are constantly shifting but that's part of the fun! I've always believed a home should feel collected, not rushed, and this cottage is very much a work in progress. I'm sharing the in-between moments: rooms half finished, pieces that tell a story, and some that are just placeholders until I find the right one.
I'll be sharing my process on here of decorating a rental on a budget, finding unique pieces secondhand, and creating a home that feels collected over time. Stay tuned...!
